Whidbey Island Things To Do:
To the North Visit:
West Beach and Joseph Whidbey State Park for a walk on a sandy beach with forested trails.
Deception Pass National Forest for some day hikes and boat tours.
If you have a boat or kayaks, make your way to Goat Island and Hope Island (you could camp on the latter).
Drive to Fidalgo Island, for a day of boutique shopping in the town of Anacortes.
Take the scenic route by taking a left off of I20 onto Rosario Rd. and checking out Rosario Beach.
To the South Visit:
Old downtown Oak Harbor for shops and food.
Charming downtown Coupeville for some Penn Cove mussels and souvenirs.
Fort Ebey State Park
Walk on the Coupeville Ferry to Port Townsend for some more shopping and exploring. While in Port Townsend, you could visit Fort Warden Historical State Park.
Take a day to visit Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market. It’s worth the drive! You could drive around Deception Pass Bridge. You could drive south on the Island to the Clinton Ferry. Check your phone’s map to see which is faster. Be aware of Ferry charges.
